Key Initiatives
Shaping the Future: Strategic Plan 2022 – 2025, which outlines our priorities as we conclude this current strategic cycle. Over the past few years, our school and community have navigated a rapidly evolving landscape, shaped by global, societal, and educational shifts. These changes have presented both challenges and opportunities, and we have used this time to reflect deeply on our journey so far.
In preparing this plan, the leadership team has drawn on community feedback, considering what we are doing well, areas in which we can grow, and anticipating the emerging challenges likely to face schools in the years to come.
Francis Jordan Catholic School is a vibrant, family-oriented Catholic Primary School located in the northern suburb of Currambine. We are a Catholic Parish community school, centred on the person of Jesus and the teachings of the Catholic Church. At Francis Jordan, we strive to create an environment where students feel loved, safe, nurtured, and valued. We are committed to challenging each student to grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually, and to become young people who think critically, act with integrity and humility, serve others with compassion, and develop a global outlook.
This Strategic Plan is a testament to our ongoing commitment to these aspirations.
Our planning continues to align with the revised Catholic Education Commission of Western Australia (CECWA) Strategic Directions, which now extend beyond 2023. These directions call all Catholic schools to be:
- Christ-centred and child-focused places that inspire faith-filled leadership.
- Schools of educational excellence.
- Pastoral communities committed to the well-being of all;
- Accessible, affordable, and sustainable
The priorities outlined in this plan are designed to:
- Clearly articulate to all members of our community the goals we are working toward.
- Build on our strong foundations and past achievements.
- Guide the actions needed to advance our Vision and Core Values.
This Strategic Plan does not attempt to document everything we do. Many effective and valuable programs will continue to operate, even if not explicitly referenced. Instead, this plan highlights the key areas where we will focus our efforts more intently, ensuring we respond to the context of our community and remain agile in the face of future challenges.
I am confident that the initiatives developed across the four strategic pillars will ensure Francis Jordan Catholic School continues to Shape the Future of the students entrusted to our care.
