A Message from the Principal – Issue 25
Dear Parents, Children and Friends,
Prayer for Families
During this holy season of Christmas, we ask for your blessing on all families.
Let Mary’s openness to your wondrous ways be an inspiration to place all trust in you.
Let Joseph’s courage provide hope during times of anxiety and uncertainty.
Let Jesus’ life ignite all families with a spirit of light and love.
May the grace that encircled the Holy Family widen to embrace all families.
For this we pray,
Farewell & Thank you
This week, we say a final goodbye to our 2019 Year Six Class. This group of Year 6 students have been great role models for all of our students at Francis Jordan. I have been delighted by their enthusiasm and the pride they have displayed in our school. We are all very proud of them and we wish them the best for their future.
This year all our students have had countless experiences and opportunities to learn, grow and mature. Students, I would like to thank you for all of your hard work this year. Your teachers and I are very proud of all of your efforts. I would like to also thank your teachers and parents for helping you to be the best person you can be. Congratulations to each and every one of you for all your efforts this year.
Thank you to all parent and grandparent volunteers who have given their time and talents to the school during 2019. Thanks must also be extended to the P&F and the School Board. Without your help we could not do what we do and you are all an integral part of our school.
We have a talented and hardworking staff. I would like to thank and congratulate them on their efforts and dedication to the huge task of nurturing our children to reach their potential. You thoroughly deserve your break and I wish you all the best for a refreshing and relaxing holiday.
To Claudia Black, Lauren Franchina, Gloria Casserly, Louise Richards and Wendy Manners; I acknowledge and thank you for your professionalism and contribution to our school community and I wish you best of luck for the future.
To those families who are leaving Francis Jordan, I wish you all the best for the future.
Finally, I would like to thank our school community for the enormous support you have shown me in my role as Principal this year. I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to work with so many talented staff, students and parents.
I wish you all a happy and holy Christmas and the best in 2020.

End of Semester Reports
Parents received their children’s End of Year reports on Wednesday. It is important to note that:
• Expected progress is the maintenance of a grade.
• If the student receives the same grade for two consecutive reports, they have made progress.
If you require an interview with your child’s class teacher to discuss the report, these will be conducted on Tuesday 17 December. Please ring Mrs Nagy at the office or see your class teacher to make an appointment, if required.
Catholic Education of Western Australia is becoming incorporated as of 1 January 2020. Please click HERE to view a letter regarding incorporation.
