School Photos
On Monday a note was sent home with every student regarding school photos, which will be taking place on Tuesday 4 June and Wednesday 5 June. Please ensure you have read the uniform requirements carefully and checked the timetable on the back of the sheet. If you need to visit the uniform shop before the day, it is open TOMORROW from 8.00-9.00am. With Friday being a pupil free day and Monday being a public holiday it will be important that we are all prepared.

Reading Data
Since the beginning the year you have heard a lot of talk about one of our school’s major foci; the collection of relevant data to improve the teaching and learning of reading. As a staff we are now at the point where we have established consistent practices for the collection of that data. This Friday, at our professional development day we will be analysing this data and setting goals for every student in our school. These goals will be specific for each individual. These goals will then shape how we teach reading in the classroom. As educators, we are very excited about the prospect of what this means for your child and the possibilities for them to improve their reading fluency and comprehension.
Regards,
Gloria Ward

Woolworths Earn and Learn is BACK for 2019
This year the funds will go towards updating Kindy Resources – puzzles, books, game. To be a part of this, each time you shop at Woolworths between May 1 and June 25, you will earn ONE sticker for EVERY $10 spent. THEN stick your stickers to an OFFICIAL Sticker Sheet (each child will bring ONE home and more are available in the front office). Then, your child can ‘post’ completed Sticker Sheets either into the Earn and Learn box in the front office OR directly into the Earn and Learn box located at the front of Woolworths Currambine (make sure you fill up the box with OUR school logo on it!) It’s that simple to make a HUGE difference! Thanks for your support!

Francis Jordan Netball Club (FJNC) Issue 13
Week 6 – Great over the weekend!
Wonderful two weeks of netball gone! Looks like our teams are flourishing on the courts and we keep hearing and seeing how wonderful you all look – so well done FJNC! Thanks to Bronwyn Perkins for all the extra time, drills and coaching you’re giving us, you’re a legend and we appreciate all the effort you go to! Feedback from one of our coaches: “Thanks to Bronwyn for her help & awesome coaching drills.”
Wishing all our past players all the best for the long weekend Fuel to Go Carnival Weekend at the Netball State Centre, (STSAC) come on down and say hi! I’m personally coaching U14s and will be around courts 41-45, with Debbie Donegan as Manager and Olivia Donegan our Goal Shooter/GA! Victoria Kent, Jasmine Akpo and Ella Brooks (U12s) will be at courts 1-5 all three days – 1st, 2nd and 3rd June so we’d love to see you there.
Team Lightning (U8) – Team of the Fortnight
Coach Rebecca Michael’s wonderful words for her team – What a great start to the season, congratulations to all the Lightning girls! We have 2 new players, Quinn and Annie who have picked the game up very quickly and have shown some super skills already. Over the first few weeks we’ve seen great defence and intercepting from our defenders. Our shooters must be practicing at home because some of the goal shooting has been excellent. Look out Fever!! The girls have done a great job at applying what they learn at training into the game on Saturday. In particular getting in front and finding space (thanks Bron for your drillls). They are all working really well together. Keep up the good work girls. Go Lightning
Expressions of Interest
What is a club without players? We are reaching out to parents who would like to enrol their child with FJNC for Spring 2019 and Winter 2020 season. Please contact us and let us know you will be wanting to enrol with us for the next two seasons as it would be a shame for us not to have a succession plan.
Please contact us at francisjordannc@yahoo.com or send a message to us on FB for more information on joining the Committee, or if you would like to enrol your child for next season. Boys encouraged too!
Cadbury Fundraiser
Back by popular demand, over the coming weeks before school holidays, we will be distributing Cadbury Fundraiser boxes (1 per family). Thanking all our players and parents for your support, a flier will be attached and will be handed out to each family by the eldest’s coach or manager.
Sincerely trying to make our club better – the FJNC Reps.

|
Hello to all our OSHClub families, we hope you had a lovely weekend! ATTENTION: This Friday (31st/05/19) we will not be open for the pupil free day, if you require care for your children, St Anthonys in Wanneroo is open for you to make booking. Francis Jordan staff will be working at this service on this day, if you have any other questions please feel free to ask. Children are required to bring a hat every day otherwise we are unable to go outside as this is a licensing requirement. If they are not able to use their school hat they are more than welcome to pack one from home to leave in their bag for OSHClub. CURRICULUM THIS WEEK: we are focusing on Learning Around the World, we will achieve this through group activities and games through suggestions from the children and staff. If you have any ideas, menu ideas or feedback please let us know via text or in person as this is very helpful, we would love to learn more about yours and your child’s culture. Below is some valuable information for new parents and any changes that have been made to policies or procedures at OSHClub
Parents please note: We are not permitted to have anyone on the premises prior to 7 am or after 6 pm. This is non-negotiable and if you are unable to drop/collect your child within the time frame you will need to organise an alternative person to drop/collect your child. YOUR BOOKING IS NOT CONFIRMED UNLESS YOU HAVE HAD WRITTEN OR VERBAL COMMUNICATION FROM US. You may note that we have places available although this does not represent the Educator/child ratio which is what determines if we are able to add a booking. This ratio one educator to 10 children Everything that we do is for the benefit of your child’s health and wellbeing. We continually strive to make OSHClub an enjoyable experience which is stimulating and fun for all the children. Our Weekly Program and menu is displayed in the undercover area for your viewing.
